Shimano Dura-Ace PD-R9100 SPD-SL Pedals

The Shimano Dura-Ace PD-R9100 pedals are high-performance SPD-SL road pedals designed for efficient power transfer, low weight and a stable connection between rider and bike.

A lightweight carbon pedal body, wide contact platform and adjustable cleat retention system make the PD-R9100 a premium choice for road racing, fast training and performance-focused cycling.

The standard-axle version weighs approximately 237g per pair and includes Shimano SM-SH12 SPD-SL cleats.

Carbon Body & Wide Pedal Platform

The Dura-Ace PD-R9100 uses a lightweight carbon pedal body combined with a durable stainless contact surface.

Its wide platform creates a stable interface between the pedal and cycling shoe, helping distribute pedaling forces across a larger contact area.

The low-profile SPD-SL design is engineered specifically for road cycling, where efficient power transfer and stable shoe support are priorities.

Shimano SPD-SL Road Pedal System

The PD-R9100 uses Shimano's SPD-SL road pedal system.

Unlike Shimano SPD mountain bike pedals, which typically use recessed two-bolt cleats, SPD-SL pedals use a larger three-bolt road cleat designed to create a broad and stable connection between shoe and pedal.

The single-sided binding is optimized for road cycling shoes and performance riding.

Adjustable Cleat Retention

The PD-R9100 SPD-SL pedals feature adjustable cleat retention tension.

This allows riders to customize the amount of force required to clip into and release from the pedal according to their riding preferences.

The sealed pedal mechanism is designed for smooth operation and durability during regular road training and racing.

SM-SH12 Cleats Included

Shimano includes SM-SH12 SPD-SL cleats with the standard PD-R9100 pedals.

The pedals are also compatible with other Shimano SPD-SL road cleat options, including SM-SH10 and SM-SH11, allowing riders to select a cleat based on their preferred movement and fit characteristics.

Reflectors are not included with this version.

Dura-Ace Road Performance

As part of Shimano's flagship Dura-Ace road component family, the PD-R9100 combines a lightweight carbon body with a nickel chromoly steel axle and road-specific SPD-SL interface.

The pedals provide approximately 35 degrees of road clearance and a 52mm pedal center measurement for a performance-focused road setup.
